Cool Roof Rating Council
As a CRRC member, SWD has tested the Albedo rate (Solar Reflectance to know how much sun is reflected/ impinged saving heat entering the building through the roof. SWD Solar Reflectance is 83% and 95% Thermal Emittance which is the amount of heat that is in the roof.
"Kool-Kote" coatings have been approved by the CRRC for use in residential and commercial buildings. Note: ASTM test standards are used and verified by in dependant laboratories prior to use. A Quality Control manual approved by ICC and Energy Star, is the base for Kool -Kote" coatings and polyurethane foams. Note: An approved independent lab is continuing to test an ongoing three year weatherability test on 1929F Kool-Kote coatings as is UL, Energy Star, CRRC, and FM Global.
